The charging for "wild" camping (an oxymoron in itself) makes me wary. Its not too much of a stretch to imagine a future where we're charged for every single foray into nature- a subscription to the outdoors. I don't think anywhere is truly safe from commercialisation, especially not somewhere like the UK where every inch of land is owned by someone.
