I want to tell you what I used to tell my former art students - trust the process, enjoy the making, and revel in your ability to make something, anything, with your own hands without being critical*. Beautiful drawing, as ever!
Interesting how so many who spend time in nature come to the same philosophical conclusions; makes me think of nature as a church we all come to worship in (I’m not religious, but if I were to worship something it would have to be the majesty of wilderness). Also beautiful film photos 💙
You should – film prices are going up, but in some ways it’s never been a better time to shoot film, with strong support from the community and loads of options for scanning! Pro tip: cine film is the best-kept secret in photography. Phenomenal image quality at significantly cheaper prices than C41 colour films. I get my respooled Vision3 250D and 500T from Analogue Revival at £6.50 a roll. The only downside is that only certain labs will process ECN-2 (I recommend filmprocessing.co.uk).
A few more examples showing what Vision3 is capable of… in the right conditions it can look better than medium-format C41 films or even full-frame digital. I do still shoot digital sometimes, but only when I really need the advantages only digital can provide.

*I was not very good at art assessments.
Thanks very much!

Thanks for dropping by, Lucy! And agreed about worship...
Lovely stuff. That cine film is stunning!
Sure is! Best-kept secret in photography right now
Those film scans are lovely. Very tempted to get back into shooting film and this might have tipped the balance. Thanks for mentioning my latest post!
